This August, I was invited to attend the WASET Conference in Vancouver on the seminar titled “ICFPF 2014 : XII International Conference on Financial Planning and Forecasting”. The paper was my first to be formally published, and will contribute to my PhD on Bio Inspired Algorithms.

The paper documented the progress of my bio inspired algorithm – the Regan Predictive Algorithm, which can succesfully predict the S&P 500 index. Co-Authors of the paper included academic heavyweights, Regis Professor Christopher Toumazou and Professor John Lidgey.

I was delighted with how well received the paper was in Vancouver – Chair of the conference, Professor Malcom Abbot (Swinburne University of Technology – Associate Professor, Economics) paid particular interest to my work and spoke how he was interested in adopting te RPA on the Australian Stock Exchange.

I was excited to be invited to the WASET Conference in London later this year, but frustratingly, I could not attend it.

“It was great to have the Regan Predictive Algorithm recognised by leading industry experts – I also met some incredibly interesting fellow delegates who I’ll be sure to stay in touch with. It was fantastic visiting such a beautiful place in Vancouver – a truly beautiful city.”
